Creating a Recurring Meeting Schedule
The Value of Consistency
Boards that meet on a regular schedule are more effective than those that meet only when problems arise. A recurring schedule ensures issues are addressed promptly, decisions aren't delayed, and homeowners know when to expect updates.
Setting Up a Schedule
Navigate to Meeting Schedules to create a recurring pattern. You can configure:
- Frequency — monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly. Most active boards meet monthly.
- Day and time — for example, "First Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM."
- Location — set a default meeting location that carries over to each occurrence.
Once configured, Nestingbird automatically creates upcoming meetings based on your schedule, so you don't have to remember to set them up each time.
Meeting Reminders
On the Insights plan or above, meeting reminders are enabled by default on a quarterly cadence. You can adjust the frequency (monthly, quarterly, or bi-annually) or disable them under Settings. This helps ensure strong attendance and gives members time to prepare.
Impact on Your Building Score
Regular, documented board meetings are a major factor in the Governance pillar of your Building Score. Boards that meet consistently score significantly higher than those that meet sporadically or have gaps in their meeting history.
Plan Requirement
Meeting minutes are available on all plans, including Basics. Automatic meeting reminders require the Insights plan or above.
